Viewings and Routine Property Visits (48 hour notice)
During your tenancy, routine visits are carried out on the property to ensure that it is being maintained to a reasonable standard and to evaluate if any minor works are needed.
Tenants will be notified of these visits at least 48 hours in advance. This notification will come via text message so please make sure that SouthSide have the correct and most up to date contact number for you. In order to minimize disruption to tenants, we can access the property using keys or if you prefer to be present, please inform your property manage. Please note that although we can’t guarantee a specific time for the visit, we will do our best to arrange the visit within a 3 hour time window where requested.
If you are leaving your property and we are doing viewings, you will be sent a text message at least 48 hours before with the date & time of the viewing. During the viewing, the viewers are accompanied at all times by a member of the SouthSide team.
On occasion the landlord or local Council may wish to access the property. If this is the case you will be notified at least 48 hours in advance.
In normal circumstances 48 hours’ notice will always be given however in the event of emergency access must be given by the tenant (even at short notice) in the interest of tenants’ health and safety.
Please be aware that if a tenant agrees a date/time with a contractor/agent to visit the property and access is denied when at the property, the occupier will incur a charge and this will either be the contractors call out charge or £30 including VAT for the agent.
